All that we're missing is you. Apply today! The CDL Driver II Class A is responsible for the safe transportation and pumping of hazardous petroleum based materials within a local operating area. This role supports customer and facility needs through tanker operations, material transfers, and compliance driven hauling. Drivers operate Manual transmission equipment and work a home daily schedule. Primary Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport and pump hazardous petroleum contact oil, hazardous waste, flammable materials, and diesel in compliance with DOT regulations and company procedures Operate PTO driven pumping equipment including stingers, hoses, and transfer pumps to load, unload, and move material between facilities and customer sites Slip seat between available units and operate different vehicles as needed throughout the shift Perform thorough pre trip and post trip inspections on vehicles, pumps, hoses, and related equipment Monitor driving behavior and compliance through onboard systems including Samsara Additional Responsibilities Complete required transportation and compliance documentation including manifests, logs, and inspection reports Ensure vehicles are properly placarded for hazardous materials at all times Communicate clearly with dispatch, operations, and customers regarding route instructions, job status, and delays Follow written and verbal route directions and adjust based on site and client needs Maintain safe work practices to protect employees, customers, and the public Perform other duties as assigned in support of operations Required Qualifications Minimum age 21 Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements Strong tanker experience with hazardous or fuel related materials Preferred 3 to 5 years of CDL A experience operating tankers, including driving in various weather conditions Acceptable driving record Ability to work a local home daily schedule with potential weekend availability Manual transmission experience strongly preferred, exceptional automatic only drivers considered Schedule and Location Home daily local position based out of the Hodgkins facility Typical start time between 5 to 6 AM Shifts generally run 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work Physical Demands Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb throughout the workday Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments Ability to safely operate pumping and transfer equipment
