Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in managing electrical construction and installation works.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Assist in project budgeting, cost control, and procurement activities.
• Technical Coordination
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate design development and resolve technical issues on site.
• Ensure compliance with authority requirements and industry standards.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Site Management
• Monitor site progress and supervise site engineers and supervisors.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
• Monitor safety compliance and enforce workplace safety requirements.
• Documentation
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and progress reports.
• Track variation orders and contract changes.
• Assist in project close-out documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-8 years of relevant experience in electrical construction or M&E projects.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, or data centre projects.
• Knowledge of Singapore standards and authority submission processes.
• Possession of Workplace Safety certifications is an advantage.
