As the IT Operations & Support Officer, you will be responsible for delivering first-line desktop, application and AV support across RMIT UP. You'll play a key role in maintaining hardware/software environments, troubleshooting issues, and supporting technology-related services both on-site and remotely. Key responsibilities include Providing responsive technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, AV equipment, and telephony. Managing software installation, OS upgrades, and device configurations. Delivering remote support to staff/students, including those based offshore. Monitoring the service desk queue and providing timely resolution of IT issues. Supporting application management, including Canvas, student systems, and database updates. Assisting with training and induction for new staff on IT systems and tools . You'll also collaborate with internal teams and external partners, participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support high-level events with on-site technical assistance About You T o be successful in this position you will need: Extensive knowledge of Remote Desktop Tools, Online Collaboration Tools (such as Zoom and MS Teams), and support platforms like ServiceNow. Strong expertise in M365, Active Directory, SCCM, Windows OS, Microsoft Endpoint services, and Intune. A customer-focused approach with proven ability to provide a professional and timely support service to diverse stakeholders . Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver under pressure. A proactive and flexible attitude with strong problem-solving skills. Commitment to continuous improvement and best practice principles. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving business objectives.
