JOB SUMMARY The Arch Insurance Technology team is responsible for solving human, technology, and business challenges through innovative solutions. The Sr. Architect , internally known as Domain Architect plays a key role in driving technology strategy and technical solutions across a domain comprising multiple products and systems. This individual ensures that solutions align with Arch's overall technical strategy, support engineering best practices, and maximize code and deployment efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strategic, solution-focused, and technology-savvy professional who can deliver high-impact solutions that drive business value. This is a remote role, with monthly travel to our Arch offices. Our Sr. Architect must work Eastern Time. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Core Responsibilities Leadership, People & Talent Define and support the establishment of KPIs/OKRs to measure domain success from a technology perspective. Strategy Develop technology roadmaps that align with enterprise and domain strategy, including modernization and technical debt reduction. Prepare and present solution design options, highlighting trade-offs. Promote an enterprise mindset, collaborating with architects and security teams to ensure cohesive, efficient solutions. Identify interdependencies across products and communicate impacts effectively. Stay on top of market and tech trends; assess and prioritize based on business value. Define ROI and identify the competitive edge of emerging technologies. Partner with product and engineering teams to uncover challenges and co-design effective solutions. Technical Management (Delivery, Product, Operations) Monitor and report on the domain's technical health and maturity. Recommend consistent, best-practice technical solutions aligned with business outcomes and industry standards. Advocate for tech debt reduction, platform security, and compliance. Guide and support technical proofs of concept and evaluations. Maintain up-to-date technical and architectural documentation in line with enterprise standards. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent experience. Minimum of 7 years of related technical and strategic experience. Preferred Technical Experience: Application and service modernization, including: Cloud technologies Microservices architecture RESTful APIs DevSecOps Containerization Domain Knowledge: Experience in insurance and/or financial services is a strong plus. For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible. For Raleigh: $114,800 - 178,214/year For Jersey City: $ 144,100 - $ 223,693/year Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
