Job Summary
Ensures quality and technical compliance in servicing rotating equipment, including pumps, turbines, and compressors. Ensures adherence to Sulzer OEM, customer, and international standards, while supporting inspections, repair solutions, and quality procedures. Provides technical feedback, prepares inspection reports, and develops and implements required standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of rotating equipment and components.
Prepare and review overhaul reports with technical recommendations.
Develop work instructions, drawings, and repair methods based on findings.
Maintain job packs, checklists, inspection records, and SOPs.
Prepare and execute Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) with stakeholders.
Provide technical quality support, including WPS/PQR review and material selection.
Perform dimensional, geometric, and disassembly inspections.
Manage NCRs, including RCA, CAPA, and lessons learned.
Coordinate and oversee NDT and specialized testing with third parties.
Ensure calibration, control, and traceability of inspection equipment.
Support operations/projects, including progress updates and resolving technical issues.
Train staff on quality standards and support LEAN and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with EHS, quality procedures, and 5S practices.
Promote a safe, clean, and positive work environment.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar or related role
Strong centrifugal pump background required; compressor/turbine experience is an advantage.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical specifications
Experience in procedure development and NCR handling
Proficient in precision measurement and workshop inspection
Solid understanding of pump hydraulics, mechanical seals, and rotating equipment
NDT certification (LPT/MPI/UT Level 2); LEAA lifting/rigging certification is a plus
Knowledge of OEM standards and practices preferred
