(THE ROLE) IND Ben Calc Administrator (Associate Analyst) This role provides an opportunity to apply technical and analytical skills to program, test, and support Alight's pension calculation system in alignment with client requirements. The role involves solving complex business problems, collaborating closely with client-facing teams, and working in a structured environment while engaging with colleagues globally, both in-person and virtually. (RESPONSIBILITIES) Analyze and resolve complex client inquiries related to pension calculations and system behaviour Investigate issues thoroughly by asking the right questions and identifying root causes Translate client business requirements into system programming and testing activities Program, validate, and test pension calculation logic within Alight's systems Create, maintain, and analyze reports supporting program logic, specifications, and testing outcomes Develop a strong understanding of Defined Benefit (DB) pension plans through hands-on client work Follow repeatable and best-in-class processes from project planning through customer usage Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks while meeting quality standards (REQUIREMENTS) Knowledge and Expertise Strong creative problem-solving and advanced analytical skills to navigate complex scenarios with minimal procedural guidance Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including conditional logic; understanding of SDLC principles required Programming knowledge is a strong advantage Demonstrated ability to learn quickly through formal training and hands-on experience Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing requirements efficiently Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, everyday language Logical and mathematical thinker who values structure and rules while also seeking opportunities to innovate and improve process efficiency Education Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, computer science, finance, MIS, or univalent work experience Location: Chennai Alight requires all virtual interviews to be conducted on video.
