Project-based engineering role and site supervisor Role overview The trilingual (Dutch (Nederlands) - French - English) ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SITE SUPERVISOR/CONTRSCUTION MANAGER is responsible for the end-to-end execution on-site of the electro- mechanical scope of projects, including mounting of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, piping systems, valves and metallic structures. The role ensures compliance with technical specifications, planning, budgetary constraints and quality standards (QA/QC). This person reports to the Design Coordinator and the Project Manager / Construction Manager and works closely with internal disciplines, subcontractors and external partners to ensure full client satisfaction. Design & Tendering phase Follow up and coordinate design activities (3D modelling, consultants, clients, partners) for piping Ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, constructability and maintainability Identify piping clashes and coordinate technical solutions with civil works Prepare and issue RFQs for piping and mechanical equipment Follow up execution design (stress calculations, thermal expansion, supports) and QA/QC Review equipment datasheets with equipment specialists Evaluate technical and commercial offers and provide recommendations Define final pricing and contribute to the project risk matrix Procurement phase Perform final compliance checks of selected suppliers Prepare and negotiate purchase orders Coordinate technical approvals Issue final purchase orders Follow up detailed engineering and fabrication Attend FATs, issue reports and follow up corrective actions Construction, start-up & commissioning phase Follow up on-site deliveries and corrective actions Supervise equipment installation Ensure QA/QC compliance Monitor PED directive compliance (welding, tests, pressure testing) Issue and close non-conformities Support start-up and commissioning Monitor planning, budget, variations and claims Coordinate with process, electrical, instrumentation and civil disciplines Education & experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience 5-10 years of experience in a similar environment Technical skills Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping Basic knowledge of hydraulics, electricity and instrumentation Experience in water treatment is an asset Soft skills Strong communication and coordination skills Commercial awareness Managerial and people skills Team player with hands-on mentality Languages Fluent in English, Dutch and French.
