TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:
Manages inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of materials and supplies, by conducting regular inventory audits, tracking usage patterns, and following organizational inventory control procedures, to prevent shortages, minimize excess, and support uninterrupted operations.
Inspects incoming shipments by matching packing slips with purchase orders, counting and measuring items, and checking order accuracy to ensure goods are received in proper condition and correct quantities.
Processes received shipments by completing receiving tickets, preparing return forms, resolving discrepancies, and contacting vendors or delivery services to maintain accountability.
Organizes warehouse inventory by sorting and placing items in designated locations, rotating stock, and maintaining the merchandise location system to ensure accurate tracking.
Maintains safe storage conditions by monitoring inventory for expired, obsolete, or damaged items, ensuring proper temperature control, following safety practices, and storing hazardous materials with required Material Safety Data Sheet to ensure a compliant warehouse environment.
Processes departmental requisitions by entering transactions into inventory systems, logging departmental usage, and forwarding special purchase orders to buyers to maintain accurate records, track inventory consumption, and ensure proper approvals.
Procures inventory and supplies to meet operational needs, by evaluating vendor options, comparing pricing and availability, and following established procurement procedures and guidelines, to ensure timely availability of resources and cost-effective purchasing.
Prepares inventory items for delivery by pulling and packing stock, staging materials for dispersal, notifying departments, and transporting supplies to support uninterrupted departmental operations.
Maintains records by entering, updating, and organizing data using record management software in accordance with organizational and professional standards and guidelines to ensure accuracy of documentation and compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Performs general administrative duties such as scheduling, maintaining documentation, and correspondence preparation by applying established office procedures and using relevant software to ensure departmental operations
Acts as a liaison of the department by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to communicate information related to department activities and ensure alignment with overall business objectives and operational requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Job involves physical exertion required for sustained periods of light physical activity such as walking and standing. May involve regular lifting of items or objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is conducted almost exclusively indoors in a warehouse facility setting. Work involves use of standard office equipment, such as computer, phone, copier, etc.
