Purpose of Role: Weir Marine Engineering is currently looking for a Project Infrastructure Engineer with Software Engineering experience to join our Combat and Control Systems (CCS) Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team supporting the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Project at the Department of National Defence (DND) Office within the Bluenose building in Dartmouth, NS. The Project Infrastructure Engineer is required to provide expertise in modelling, object orientation, data typing, scripting, data integration, analysis, Application Programming Interface (API) development and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) services in support of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).
The candidate will provide multi-disciplinary engineering and technical services related to the MBSE activities performed across the RCD Program, including interfacing the RCD MBSE framework with new and existing tool sets utilised within the Project, RCN, and DND. The role may also require support other project areas as required, including Integrated Test Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA), Performance Modelling and Simulation (M&S), Land Based Test Capability (LBTC), and Synthetic Environment Support activities. This is a full-time, permanent position with a combination of working in-office and working from home. This position provides a great opportunity to become immersed in cutting edge technology of the RCN's future surface combatant fleet and the forefront of modern Canadian MBSE.
