The Student Affairs Assistant greets and processes all visitors in-person at the Admissions desk at the Lawrenceburg Riverfront location; conducts other general clerical assignments for Student Affairs, including administrative support for the service area K-14 departments. This position is designed to enhance the operations of enrollment services provided to all incoming and continuing students. Provides general information about admissions, registration, financial aid, orientation, assessment, visit days, dual credit/dual enrollment and advising processes. Assists new students through enrollment and registration as part of the Student Affairs team. Assists with all special projects, data entry, imaging and is the primary phone contact and scheduler for the Riverfront Office. Works effectively among several computer platforms utilized by the Enrollment and K-14 Departments. Evaluates student transcripts and testing to assist with enrollment processes. Maintains appropriate inventory of necessary student materials. Compiles information packets and other items as requested by the Enrollment Services and K-14 offices. Participates actively on the Enrollment and K-14 Team and functions effectively within that team environment. Assists with Visit Days, New Student Orientation and other student initiatives as needed. Maintains working knowledge of emergency/safety procedures as provided by the supervisor. Conducts all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. High level of technical competency in all phases of clerical procedures and records management. Composition, spelling, and proofreading skills needed. Ability to select alternative methods.
