About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Center on JBER, AK. Applications are open to ages 18 and older. Flexible employees have work schedules that depend on the needs of the activity. You may work a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Flexible employees may be subjected to "on call" work in addition to hours posted on the schedule. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must know the proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions and how to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces. Must be able to clean and adjust power cleaning equipment. The work involves light physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; running lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers; continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying wastebasket; frequently pushing carts loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper; occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must have a valid driver's license.
