Location: Neonatal Care Center Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm General Purpose of job: The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the implementation and provision of clinical pharmacy services to improve and enhance patient care. This position serves the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Makes patient care rounds with multi-disciplinary healthcare team in the assigned areas to provide pharmaceutical care. Works closely with all members of the care team to assure safe and efficient delivery of patient care. Coordinates medication delivery for patients. Coordinates automated dispensing cabinet maintenance for designated areas. Acts as a liaison between the pharmacy and the medical and nursing staff for issues pertaining to clinical pharmacy services. Serves as a preceptor for Pharmacy Residents and students on rotations at Driscoll Children's Hospital. Performs a variety of activities and duties as assigned to meet the routine and urgent needs the department.
