About the role
The Accounting Specialist, Supply Chain is at the heart of the strategy in our Claims organization. Being a part of the largest business unit within Intact, the exposure of this role crosses many business units within Claims and our Intact strategies. Step into a dynamic role where you'll collaborate closely with our supply chain team to tackle exciting challenges, spearhead strategic projects, and establish innovative processes that drive efficiency and growth. This position is a 12-month secondment opportunity based in either Toronto or Mississauga. What you'll do here: Lead a financial diagnostic and remediation initiative to stabilize reporting, improve data quality and establish sustainable accounting routines and optimize the budget/forecast processes. Reconstruct accurate monthly financial statements and strengthen the month-end close through reconciliations, documentation, and clear control standards. Assess key revenue and cost processes end-to-end to identify leakage, process gaps, and opportunities to improve margin and cash flow. Deliver executive-ready performance reporting, variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), and decision-oriented recommendations to senior stakeholders. Identify control, compliance, and operational risk gaps; implement pragmatic enhancements and support ongoing governance and stakeholder communications. Participate in national supply chain strategic initiatives. What you bring to the table: CPA or CPA, Auditor designation - is required Minimum 5-years' experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit or financial operations - is required Advanced proficiency using Excel - is required Success in this position requires a curious mind and keen investigative skills. Demonstrated ability to confidently engage with individuals at all organizational levels, including management and external stakeholders. Proficient in using Oracle or other ERP systems. Quick learning, with agility and adaptability in changing environments. Capable of working independently while displaying discipline and professionalism.
