This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain DoD Workforce positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Branch Chief, Contracting and Maintenance, Supervisory Engineering Technician, directs oversight of facility and infrastructure maintenance as well as service contract portfolio for Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the EXPERIENCE requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. For the Supervisory Engineer Technician, GS-0802-13 grade level, you must meet qualifications for this position using your experience alone. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Providing surveillance and quality assurance on maintenance, construction, or service contracts and 2) Directing a quality assurance program that includes categories such as: coordinating, estimating, surveying, verifying, executing, construction, alteration, extension, modification, maintenance and repair of facilities and utility systems. Education cannot be substituted for experience for the Supervisory Engineering Technician, GS-0802-13.
