This position is in Region 5, Office of Regional Administrator, Superfund and Emergency Management Division, Operations Management Branch. About Region 5: Region 5. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements, including any requirements described in the Education section, by the closing date of this announcement. In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as providing oversight, or technical expertise for environmental protection support programs in one or more of the following areas: contracts management, data and budget management, or FOIA and records management, and provide coaching or mentoring others to protect human health and the environment. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Budget and Cost Management. * Contract Management. * Planning and Evaluating. Leadership. Teamwork. Technical Knowledge (Related to Position). * *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies.
