Your Team & Role The incumbent will integrate security controls into a global infrastructure while helping establish the engineering discipline across the team. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Technology Leads to deliver the vision and roadmap required to mature, scale, and sustain security controls. You will partake in a systems development lifecycle to integrate security capabilities into existing infrastructure, while minimizing operational risks. Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day The incumbent will be a part of the Security Services Data Protection Team and will be responsible for: Engineering, implementation, and support of perimeter security controls Work with Cyber Security stakeholders to align existing and new capabilities with security policies, standards, and outcomes Coordinate deployment with the business units to minimizing the risk of service disruption, while maintaining security outcomes Operate against an agile framework to break down engineering efforts into sprints and progressively meet pre-defined objectives Provide recurring progress updates via a JIRA board and during daily scrums Serve as tier 4 support during standard work hours and participate in an on-call rotation to support after hours demands Assist with driving operational excellence by enhancing capabilities and their supporting eco-systems and the capability knowledge base The Skills & Expertise You Bring Required Qualifications and Skillsets 8+ years of experience in an IT engineering role Demonstrative experience with IT engineering concepts and the key milestones of a systems development lifecycle Experience with on-premises perimeter security controls, such as web proxies and next generation firewalls Experience with cloud based perimeter security controls, such as WAF, Denial of service, and Zero Trust products Experience with the creation of technical documents, such as engineering specifications, runbooks, and playbooks Preferred Qualifications and Skillsets 2+ years in an IT Security Role Basic scripting ability, using mainstream languages such as Powershell and Python AWS and/or Azure certification Proficiency with Cloud based Security Service Edge products, such as Zscaler's ZTNA product suite Familiarity with RFI/RFP processes You'll Love Working Here Because You Can Join a team and culture where your voice matters; where every day, your work transforms our experiences to make lives better. What we offer you: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $171,500.00 to $257,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level .
