About the role
Position audits, analyses and assists in administering the payroll process of the organization and prepares payroll payments for distribution. Review and balance payroll output to ensure accurate weekly, quarterly and annual payroll figures. Support other processing team members. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Basic accounting knowledge Payroll experience with a computerized preparation system Working knowledge of payroll best practices Customer Service skills Strong work ethic and team player Ability to maintain high level confidentiality Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word) Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills Ability to adhere to tight deadlines ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: On a weekly basis, compiles, keys, audits and reviews all time data and changes to earnings for pay groups including processing the gross to net calculation and making any additional changes as needed. On a weekly basis, review and audit payroll time data for Quality Control Centers and TMS load for Trans Papa Logistic truck drivers. Provide team member support with information regarding paycheck, W-2 and related earnings, taxes and deductions following company policies and procedures. Process special earnings, bonuses, relocations, tuition payments, and incentive updates. Process and maintain backup for employee recruitment bonuses for all groups. Process Stock and Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation payments. Maintains employee records for garnishments, wage attachments, tax levies, and child support orders sent to ADP for processing. Keeps current with all applicable wage attachment laws, federal, state and local. Update the payroll system accordingly to ensure accurate payroll processing. Reviews and edits payroll output weekly for accuracy of deductions.
