As a Sleep Therapy Follow-Up Program Specialist (Respiratory Therapist) , you will play a key role in supporting Sleep Doctor's patients after they begin their therapy journey. This role focuses on providing consistent follow-up, remote monitoring, and education to ensure long-term therapy success. You'll assist with virtual PAP setups, perform mask fittings, troubleshoot equipment issues, and guide patients through resupply needs. Compensation Range Base Salary Range: $32-$36/hr Note that final compensation is subject to the candidate's specific qualifications and location, as well as the needs of the company. The Company currently provides medical, vision, and dental insurance and 100% of the employee medical, vision, and dental premiums covered by the Company. There is an option to participate in both a medical FSA and dependent care FSA. We offer a 401(k) plan, with fully matching contributions up to 3% of salary and 50% matching from 3% to 5% of salary. Responsibilities

  • Analyze home sleep test results to identify patterns and abnormalities. Communicate findings clearly and effectively to customers. Address customer questions and concerns.
  • Conduct virtual machine setups for CPAP and BiPAP devices to ensure proper configuration and patient understanding
  • Titrate CPAP/BiPAP pressure following clinical guidelines to optimize therapy effectiveness
  • Review and monitor patient compliance data from cloud-connected PAP devices
  • Identify therapy issues or non-compliance and proactively engage with patients to troubleshoot and resolve
  • Perform virtual mask fittings and provide recommendations to optimize seal, comfort, and long-term success
  • Educate patients on proper usage, cleaning, and maintenance of their PAP equipment
  • Guide patients through resupply schedules and assist in facilitating timely and accurate replacement of masks, cushions, filters, and tubing
  • Provide empathetic and knowledgeable support to help patients overcome common therapy challenges such as dryness, leaks, or discomfort
  • Maintain documentation of patient interactions, troubleshooting steps, and follow-up plans in internal systems
  • Stay up to date on DME products, PAP accessories, and best practices in sleep apnea treatment
  • Collaborate with internal clinical, support, and logistics teams to ensure smooth coordination of care
  • Contribute ideas and insights to improve the follow-up program and enhance the patient experience

Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2-3 years of DME experience required. Sleep credential (RRT-SDS or RPSGT) strongly preferred; ideal candidate will be licensed in one of the following: Oregon, New Mexico, Washington, Arizona, New Jersey, West Virgina.
  • Familiar with mask types, resupply guidelines, and best practices for long-term PAP success
  • Skilled in virtual education, troubleshooting, and mask fittings
  • You are patient-focused and driven to help individuals achieve better health through consistent and compassionate support
  • Comfortable using telehealth platforms and cloud-based compliance systems
  • Knowledgeable in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Medical Equipment (HME), specific to sleep apnea care
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and able to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Thrive in a remote, fast-paced, collaborative environment where priorities can shift-and you're ready to adapt and respond quickly
