Lead production operations - Manage production activities to achieve production plans, customer requirements, equipment performance, product quality, and safety standards.
Drive strategy and operational improvement - Contribute to best-practice production strategies, policies, processes, and procedures that improve operational performance.
Optimize performance and quality - Monitor OEE, manage production issues, support startups, shutdowns, and changeovers, and ensure equipment is operated according to standard procedures.
Champion EHS, quality, and compliance - Ensure production activities comply with safety, environmental, health, ISO, GHPS, HACCP, legal, and customer requirements.
Lead and develop people - Manage, coach, motivate, and develop production teams, including workforce assignments, training, shift rotations, performance reviews, and clear shift handovers.
Manage resources and budget - Ensure effective use of manpower, materials, and budget while maintaining cost discipline and operational control.
Deliver continuous improvement projects - Lead process improvement and operational projects, applying TPM/AM, Lean, Six Sigma, data management, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, food science, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial-level role.
Must have experience in chemical manufacturing or modified starch production; experience in a multinational food & beverage environment is required or highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of EHS compliance, quality management systems, and manufacturing standards such as ISO, GHPS, and HACCP.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies, plus strong data management and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), particularly Autonomous Maintenance (AM), to enhance equipment reliability and operational performance.
Strong business acumen, including financial, costing, and budget management knowledge.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
A strong people leader who can motivate, coach, and develop teams while driving performance and accountability.
A change leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
A collaborative partner who works effectively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, EHSS, HR, and Finance.
A structured problem solver with strong planning, follow-up, decision-making, and team-building skills.
A hands-on operations leader with a strong understanding of maintenance, logistics, wastewater treatment, and utility control.
