Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing medication management
Deliver psychiatric care in outpatient behavioral health, primary care, and emergency department settings
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications while ensuring safe and effective treatment plans
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other care team members to coordinate patient care
Participate in psychiatric emergency evaluations and crisis intervention services
Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call coverage rotations
Supervise and mentor residents and medical students
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record
Support continued growth of referral relationships throughout BMC Health System
Requirements
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
Massachusetts medical license or eligibility for licensure
DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration
BLS Certification
Experience working within multidisciplinary behavioral health teams preferred
