As a House Manager, you'll serve as the on-site clinical and administrative leader-helping teams navigate daily challenges, ensuring safe, high-quality care, and keeping operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership and operational support across the hospital during the day shift
Coordinate patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and bed placement
Serve as a clinical and operational resource for nursing staff and departments
Respond to urgent issues, patient concerns, and service recovery needs
Partner with physicians, nursing teams, and support services to ensure safe, timely care
Monitor hospital capacity and support throughput to prevent delays
Lead or support safety huddles and hospital-wide communication
Act as the first point of contact for unexpected events and coordinate next steps
Conduct routine rounding to support staff and maintain a safe environment
Assist with staffing decisions and resource allocation as needed
Collaborate with external partners when coordinating transfers or emergency response
Requirements
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the State of Michigan required
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (HCA)
Previous leadership or hospital operations experience
Knowledge of emergency preparedness and disaster response (including IS courses)
Bronson Battle Creek Specific Responsibilities
Participate as part of the stroke response team, including ensuring proper mixing and dosing of TPA
Strong leadership and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
Comfort using computer systems and interpreting basic operational/clinical data
Additional Role Details
Requires frequent walking and standing, with occasional lifting and assisting patients
Involves managing multiple priorities and making timely decisions throughout the shift
Serves as a key leader supporting hospital operations, especially when unit leaders are unavailable

Bronson South Haven Hospital- BCLS required upon hire. Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire. Hospital Incident Command courses IS-100.HCb, IS-200HCb, IS-200.HCa and IS-700.a, and NIH Stroke certification to be completed within 6 months of hire.*
