Chip Design Verification Intern

Responsibilities

• Optical and electrical experimental characterisation of new and improved photonic devices and photonic integrated circuits (PICs), for coherent detection and direct detection systems above 200 Gb/s.
• Development of manual and semi-automated experimental hardware/software for testing photonic III-V semiconductor devices involving a broad range of disciplines - optical/electrical/RF.
• Experimental characterisation of state of the art photonic III-V semiconductor devices, performance investigation; developing new experimental techniques, statistical data analysis; failure mode investigation.
