Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and therapeutic interventions within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU)
Provide patient-centered treatment for individuals with complex medical and functional rehabilitation needs
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams to coordinate patient care plans
Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, progress, and clinical outcomes
Monitor, screen, and follow occupational therapy consults within assigned service areas
Deliver care that addresses patients' physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
Provide PRN / Pool coverage across designated service areas as departmental needs require
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
Licensed or license-eligible as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Georgia , with Georgia licensure required by the start date of employment
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical occupational therapy experience
Demonstrated experience working in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU)
Clearly defined clinical expertise developed through professional experience and/or advanced certification
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Requirements
Prior experience in a teaching hospital or academic medical center
