Shifts Available: 8 Hour Night Shift. Sunday-Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Pay Rate: $17.00 an hour plus a $2.00 Shift Differential Duties and Responsibilities The Extrusion Operator is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments. The Production Operator position is an entry-level team member responsible for assembling building material components This dedicated team member performs one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly line under the direct supervision and repetitively assembles window material components Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts, and use of both hand and power tools Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers Lifting requirements: 20 lbs. frequently; 40 lbs. occasionally for light production; and 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally for heavy production. Ability to read a tape measure Familiarity with using and reading calipers Have the ability to operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble. Have the ability to be cross-trained in multiple functions within and between multiple department lines.
