Hours of Work: Up to 25 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. FILING DEADLINE: This position will remain open until June 24, 2026, at 11:59pm. INTRODUCTION: Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will be forwarded to the hiring department for further review. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Assist staff in conducting field surveys for plants and wildlife, restoration activities, and education and outreach at the Las Vegas Wash and Warm Springs Natural Area. Willing to participate in wildlife surveys and other activities that include early morning and late-night hours. Able to organize and input survey data in spreadsheets and assist in developing reports. GENERAL PURPOSE: This position supports a wide variety of duties and responsibilities in service to the Water Resources Department. The S&S Division oversees restoration, monitoring and education activities at the Las Vegas Wash and Warm Springs Natural Area. NOTE: The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.
