The Sales Associate, Institutional supports the sales team through market research, prospect analysis, proposal and RFP development, sales reporting, and presentation preparation.
This role supports business development by keeping the team organized, informed, and focused on priority opportunities across target sectors.
Responsibilities
Maintain current market research across target markets and sectors.
Research new markets and sectors of interest.
Develop prospect profiles and partner with sales managers on priority opportunities.
Support RFP and proposal development by gathering timely, accurate information and tailoring responses to prospect needs.
Prepare fee models and proposals.
Coordinate materials and logistics for sales presentations and due diligence meetings, including presentation books, agendas, briefing materials, and supporting documents.
Maintain the sales prospect database.
Represent Northern Trust with the sales team at select conferences, as appropriate.
Support the planning and execution of Northern Trust hosted conferences in partnership with event managers.
Produce monthly prospect and sales snapshot reports, quarterly sales insight reports, and other recurring or ad hoc reporting for senior management.
Analyze prospect data to help the sales team prioritize target markets, identify differentiators, and assess product gaps.
Experience and Knowledge
College degree or equivalent experience.
2 or more years of related experience.
Knowledge of financial products, services, and core sales concepts.
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal partners.

$88,900 - 151,100 USD
