Requirements

AECOM is actively seeking an Inspector for our New Jersey office to support our Transportation Business Line. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform detailed field inspections on highway and bridge construction projects and maintain comprehensive inspection records for As-Built documentation Serve as the technical expert in field inspections and audits, recognized as the go-to resource internally and externally Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, specifications, and contract documents to ensure work is completed according to design Monitor and enforce compliance with construction standards, contract specifications, industry regulations, and safety protocols at project sites Maintain daily reports, documentation, and progress logs on project activities, including materials used, work performed, and any issues identified Conduct and document material testing, sampling, and field measurements as required Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to identify and resolve project-related issues in a timely manner Participate in punch lists, testing, commissioning, and project meetings to provide updates on inspection findings Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new employees on inspection procedures and standards Travel throughout New Jersey to support multiple project sites as assigned
