With a growing pipeline of work across AECOM's Building Engineering team, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer. This position is suited to an engineer with experience in building services design who is looking to further develop their technical capabilities while contributing to complex and high-profile projects across the aviation, sports, defence, data centre, health, government, and transport precinct sectors. You will work within a diverse, collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, delivering technical excellence and sustainable outcomes for our clients. This role is based in Sydney. How you'll make a difference: Contribute to the design and documentation of building services electrical systems including lighting and controls, general and specialist power, main switchboards, distribution systems, earthing and lightning protection, and essential services systems. Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and schedules in accordance with Australian Standards, NCC requirements and project objectives. Support the delivery of coordinated, multidisciplinary design solutions across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire and structural teams. Participate in project planning, design reviews and quality assurance processes while contributing technical input during client and stakeholder meetings. Undertake site inspections and support construction-phase services across a variety of complex building projects. Contribute specialised technical advice across multiple sectors while continuing to develop your leadership, project delivery and mentoring capabilities within the broader team. Please apply, all applications will be considered. Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Ideally 3-5+ years' experience in electrical building services design within a consulting or contractor environment with strong design exposure. Relevant registration, aligning with State (or working towards). Sound understanding of Australian Standards, the NCC and local authority requirements relating to electrical building services. Experience across lighting, power, earthing/lightning protection and electrical distribution systems, including proficiency using industry-standard software such as Revit MEP, PowerCAD, AutoCAD, AGi32, ETAP and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to client-facing activities. RPEQ, RPEV or CPEng (or working towards) highly regarded - AECOM will support your professional development and registration pathway. Due to the nature of some of our projects, Australian Citizenship is highly regarded, with current or previously held Defence clearance viewed favourably.
