About the role
As an Associate Livesite Engineer, you'll help ensure the smooth operation of our live production environment. Working alongside a global team, you'll learn to monitor, maintain, and support the systems that keep our platform reliable for customers around the world. This is a growth-oriented role: you'll develop incident response, release management, and platform engineering skills while contributing to the day-to-day health of production. The role is based in Brisbane and can be fully remote or hybrid. You'll work primarily within AEST business hours, with some structured overlap with our India and US-based teams.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the live production environment to identify potential issues or anomalies.
- Respond to system alerts and incidents, escalating and taking action under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Follow established runbooks and incident response playbooks; flag gaps or inconsistencies to senior engineers.
- Support release management activities - learning our change and deployment processes, including how we manage change tickets through the SCOPE process.
- Assist with incident communications, providing updates to stakeholders as directed.
- Participate in post-mortems as a contributor - document your timeline observations and help track action items to closure.
- Help develop and maintain automation scripts, tooling, and monitoring dashboards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems you monitor and support.
- Participate in an on-call rotation (specific schedule and allowances discussed at offer stage).
- What We Want From You

- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and basic networking and web technology concepts (HTTP, DNS, TLS).
- Some scripting ability (e.g., Python, Bash), or a clear and demonstrable willingness to learn it quickly.
- A methodical, documented approach to troubleshooting - you write things down, not just fix them.
- Good problem-solving instincts and the ability to stay calm and systematic under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an eagerness to collaborate across time zones.
- A genuine desire to grow into a full Livesite Engineer within 12-18 months.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation - schedule and allowances discussed at offer stage.
- Exposure to monitoring or alerting tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Interest in or exposure to the fraud prevention or bot mitigation domain.
