Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a motivated and experienced Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst to join an established and highly-respected team supporting missile defense research, development, test and evaluation on Redstone Arsenal. This position involves advanced technology projects conducted at the Torch-led Collaborative Test and Evaluation Center (CTEC). The mission of the CTEC is to provide the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Directorate with independent, government-owned, modeling, simulation, and evidence-based assessments for future C2BMC software builds. The selected candidate will perform a wide range of technical duties involving computer-based modeling and simulation, algorithm testing, data generation, and analysis
As a Missile Defense Systems Engineer/Analyst, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Evaluating active/passive sensor performance, data fusion, multi-sensor tracking and target discrimination algorithms, system-level command and control algorithms, and missile defense battle management techniques.
Developing and evaluating advanced prototypes, evaluating third-party algorithms, planning and conducting missile defense survivability assessments, and planning and conducting exploratory studies to identify, characterize, and assess mission gaps.
Coordinating with Government/Contractor Program Managers, prime development contractors, and external stakeholders and customers to identify and solve missile defense challenges and opportunities.
Presenting complex technical information and analysis to diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant experience
Active DoD Secret clearance
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied in professional settings
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-focused environment
