Oversee the deployment and standardisation of data protection policies and procedures designed to safeguard sensitive information across all MUFG entities.
Facilitate secure handling of personal data, financial records, and proprietary information by collaborating with teams throughout the organisation.
Develop and maintain frameworks for personal data management including registers, breach reporting protocols, data transfers, vendor risk assessments, privacy assessments, legal developments tracking, advisory services, monitoring activities, risk reporting, and escalation processes.
Monitor for potential breaches and consult on responses to regulatory inquiries to protect MUFG's reputation and client interests.
Advise senior leadership on emerging privacy risks and regulatory trends while developing and delivering comprehensive global privacy training programmes.
Support management of privacy budgets, resource allocation decisions, and vendor relationships to optimise programme effectiveness.
