Completing travel and expense reports for the Vice President;
Coordinating with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Advancement Officer, as appropriate;
Drafting and proofreading correspondence;
Assisting with campaign meeting scheduling and logistics;
Serve as a first point of contact for internal and external inquiries.
Reporting and Donor Stewardship Operations (40%)
Serve as the internal reporting Lead for Campaign Engagement, including preparation and distribution of the Weekly Campaign Update and CEO Dashboard.
Support donor stewardship operations, including Gift Closet management, RE updates, and tracking of stewardship actions and commitments.
Draft all acknowledgements for executive leadership and coordinate with Leadership Giving, Institutional Partnerships and Executive Communications team to customize and deliver acknowledgements.
Maintain accurate records and documentation to support campaign reporting and donor follow‑up.
Team Support (35%)
Provide informal email drafting and coordination support for the Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer related to donor engagement, campaign updates, and internal communications.
Serve as Museum of Exploration customer service point of contact for donor‑related requests, working in partnership with the Signature Services Manager on Museum Visitor Services to route, track, and resolve inquiries.
Coordinate donor‑related logistics tied to Museum access, visits, and service needs.
Other administrative duties as assigned to support overall advancement and campaign efforts.
Requirements
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
2+ years professional work experience preferred; past Advancement experience preferred.
Necessary Knowledge and Skills required
Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary with a demonstrated ability to write effectively for business/philanthropic communication purposes.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and G-Suites
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
Proactive and professional demeanor when interacting with NGS staff, senior executives, high net worth individuals, and donors.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.
Proficiency with Raiser's Edge database system strongly preferred.
Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimum of instruction and supervision when necessary.
Excellent interpersonal skills enabling professional and congenial interactions.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Campaign Engagement & Stewardship and providing ongoing administrative support to the Vice President, Campaign Engagement & Stewardship he Coordinator, Campaign Engagement and Stewardship will provide general administration for Campaign Engagement & Stewardship VP at the National Geographic Society. The coordinator will also provide operational, reporting, and administrative support to the Campaign Engagement & Stewardship team. This role serves as the execution and service backbone of the team, supporting internal reporting, donor stewardship logistics, acknowledgements, Museum of Exploration requests, and administrative coordination for senior leadership.
