Job Summary As a Test Engineer Intern within the Standards Enablement Services (SES) team at SWIFT, you will gain hands‑on experience contributing to the quality and reliability of the Swift Translator and other products in the Standards portfolio. You will work closely with experienced test engineers and developers to support testing activities, improve quality assurance practices, and help ensure robust, reliable delivery of standards‑related services used across the financial industry. Job Responsibilities Contribute to test automation activities for the Swift Translator, working under the guidance of senior QA engineers. Support the development, execution, and maintenance of automated test cases as part of the team's quality assurance strategy. Assist with functional and regression testing, using a mix of automated and manual approaches. Learn and apply existing testing frameworks, tools, and best practices used within the team. Help identify, document, and track software defects using established bug‑tracking tools. Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to understand requirements, expected behaviours, and automation needs for new features. Participate in daily stand‑ups and team meetings as part of an agile, cross‑functional team. Job Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical programming experience). Basic programming knowledge is required; candidates must be comfortable reading and writing simple code. Familiarity with Linux or system‑level concepts is a plus. Strong interest in software testing, quality assurance, and test automation. Willingness to learn, communicate, and work closely with senior engineers (e.g. pairing), and grow technical skills through hands‑on experience. Self‑motivated and accountable in a hybrid/work‑from‑home (WFH) working environment.
