About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned & operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813. Today it is relied upon by U.S. & foreign militaries to produce the most advanced, high-powered weaponry for cannon systems. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Supervisor without more than normal supervision. which includes the ability to: (1) Plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. (2) Select workers and assign tasks to be performed. (3) Maintains production reports and records. (4) Ensure that personnel are properly trained in and observe/follow all aspects of hazardous material/waste management including, but not limited to, current regulatory guidance, labeling/identification procedures, handling procedures to include storage and transportation, spill and accident notification, and response procedures. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Operation of Job Family Specify Equipment, Machinery, etc. Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments
