About the role
Silvus is seeking a Material Planner who will report to the Supply Chain Manager on the Operations - Supply Chain team. The successful individual in this role is responsible for coordinating material availability to support production schedules and meet customer requirements and On-Time Delivery (OTD) goals. This role works cross-functionally with the Supply Chain, Production, Shipping, Quality and Sales teams to ensure timely visibility of material availability, delivery risks, and track order fulfillment status. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of working independently, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to support uninterrupted operations and customer commitments. This position is based at Silvus Technologies' headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA , and is on a hybrid schedule. A minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate with internal teams including production, planning, purchasing, logistics, and customer service to ensure material availability aligns with customer demand and production schedules. Track incoming shipments and proactively follow up on delayed or at-risk deliveries with buyers, suppliers, and freight carriers. Monitor material requirements and inventory levels to minimize production disruptions and support On-Time Delivery (OTD). Collaborate with buyers to identify and proactively communicate supply shortages, scheduling conflicts, and delivery delays to internal teams, and escalate critical issues to the Supply Chain Manager as needed. Participate in team meetings to review priorities, risks, and action plans. Maintain accurate planning reports, delivery schedules, and material status updates to ensure on-time delivery of materials required for production and customer shipments. Utilize ERP/MRP and internal planning tools to make informed decisions on material availability. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier performance. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, quality standards, and operational procedures. Perform other related duties of which the above are representative. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma/GED. 2+ years of planning, procurement, or logistics. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well with all levels of the organization. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts. All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
