Constructs, maintains, and repairs concrete and other foundations, and interior and exterior walls and ceilings from constructions to repairs. Installs, replaces, repairs, and rebuilds locks, electronic electrical locks, security devices, and other hardware to ensure the security of state buildings and property. Inspects and audits work areas and facilities for safety hazards. Performs skilled work in operating and maintaining building control systems. Schedules and performs specialized preventative maintenance and repairs for equipment systems. Other duties as assigned. Starting hourly pay rate is $22.327 effective 7/1/26. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding or other building trade. Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations or training may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis as determined appropriate by the agency. Other: Background/motor vehicle check will be required. Must have a valid driver's license. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of standard use, maintenance and safety practices associated with hand tools, power tools and light to heavy machinery; fire codes and fire prevention regulations and procedures.
