Description of Work The Sustainability, Efficiency, and Resilience Field Engineer supports the Division of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance (DECM) Maintenance Operations by installing, servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Sustainability, Efficiency, and Resilience (SE&R) systems across correctional facilities. The role performs professional engineering work that includes evaluating and commissioning HVAC building automation, water management, and electrical metering systems, supporting regional maintenance personnel, and applying engineering principles to ensure code compliant operation of energy related infrastructure within the Department of Adult Correction. Key Duties Include: - Install, commission, service, and troubleshoot HVAC building automation systems, water management systems, and electrical metering/monitoring systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards - Perform conduit and raceway installation, wire pulling, device installation, and system startups for SE&R related mechanical, electrical, and plumbing metering infrastructure - Support regional and institutional maintenance personnel by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex electronic based metering and automation systems across multiple facilities - Complete work orders and process requisitions, direct billing, and purchasing documentation for SE&R system materials and supplies - Evaluate technical conditions, troubleshoot system performance issues, and apply engineering concepts to ensure energy conservation, operational efficiency, and compliance with standards - Participate in project related planning, consultation, and problem solving that involves technically complex systems with multiple variables and inter-dependencies - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and facility staff to coordinate SE&R system work activities across assigned correctional institution Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Grade Range: $57,983.00 - $101,470 The Posting Will Close At 11:59 P.M.
