About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide technical support to the Underwriting Governance Manager in activities required to establish and implement a robust underwriting and product governance and compliance framework and supporting processes and capabilities. This role will work to ensure products and underwriting are managed in line with QBE and regulatory requirements across the product lifecycle and portfolios. Additionally, the role will engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation to provide specialist and best practice advice and have input into processes and activities to ensure compliance with local regulations and QBE policies and standards. Your New Role: Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to embed awareness of, and adherence to, governance processes, activities, compliance and risk as it relates to their business areas and teams including representation in committees and team meetings as required. Support with identifying and managing continuous improvement and quality opportunities to enhance processes and support tools. Accountable for dashboard monitoring and risk reporting to provide an overview of appropriate components of governance and progress to targets. Demonstrate/obtain an understanding of customer and stakeholders' perspectives, expectations and requirements. Prepare presentations and supporting documentation as needed to support activities and progress reporting. Maintain strong knowledge and awareness of local and global regulatory, industry and customer advocacy changes which relate to product / underwriting governance and oversight and appropriately adapt AUSPAC underwriting / product governance activities and requirements to reflect the evolving business environment. Raise any risk issues in our risk management system (Insight) and support resolution as required and develop risk controls or enhancements to appropriately address recorded issues and mitigate future similar occurrences. About You: Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Some underwriting governance experience in insurance business.
