About the role
You will join a deeply analytical team within Retail Banking, focused on turning complex data into actionable insights. The team partners closely with business stakeholders to uncover patterns, support data-driven decision-making, and enable leaders to maximize business impact. You will work closely with Analytics peers and other stakeholders on advanced analytics initiatives. Within the team, this role acts as a Power BI specialist , owning the design and evolution of dashboards and reports, and promoting Power BI best practices. Your day-to-day As a Data Analyst specialised in Power BI in an Agile Way of Working, you will dedicate your time and efforts to achieve the tribe's purpose through: Design, build, and maintain dynamic, intuitive Power BI dashboards that deliver a great user experience, enabling business users to explore customer-focused insights and Retail Banking performance through self-service analytics capabilities. Develop and optimize data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations to ensure accuracy, scalability, and performance. Ensure dashboards are easy to use , performant, and aligned with BI standards and agreed business definitions. Support business users in adopting self-service BI, enabling correct interpretation of KPIs and insights. Analyse large datasets to deliver actionable insights supporting business strategies across customer, marketing, and digital channels. Partner with senior analysts and stakeholders to perform deep dives, segmentation analyses, campaign assessments, and product evaluations. Act as key analytics point of contact in cross-functional initiatives, aligning on KPI definitions, data logic, and reporting consistency. Document dashboards, metrics, and data models, performing regular quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Share Power BI best practices and provide guidance to less experienced analysts when relevant. Drive continuous improvement by promoting reusable datasets, measures, and reporting approaches. What you bring to the team University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Cybernetics, or a related field. Solid experience in data analysis, preferably in banking or financial services. Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards in a business environment. Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. Solid experience with DAX , Power Query , and data modelling concepts . Experience designing dynamic dashboards for business users. Working experience with SQL; experience with SAS is plus. Strong analytical thinking with a focus on business impact , not just numbers. Ability to translate data insights into clear, actionable messages for non‑technical audiences. Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills. Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders. Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn and improve ways of working.
