Job Title: Director of Equipment (Men's Olympic Sports) Job Summary You would be responsible for the oversight, distribution, maintenance, inventory, and organization of athletic equipment and apparel for assigned NCAA/Olympic sport programs. This position supports coaches, student-athletes, and athletic department operations by ensuring all equipment needs are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with institutional and conference standards. What You'd Be Responsible For Manage daily equipment operations for assigned Olympic sport programs. Issue, collect, fit, maintain, repair, and inventory athletic equipment and apparel. Coordinate laundering, storage, and organization of team gear and practice equipment. Prepare locker rooms, practice facilities, and competition venues for training and events. Maintain accurate inventory records and equipment tracking systems. Assist with purchasing, receiving, and distribution of equipment and apparel within departmental budget guidelines. Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, institutional, and manufacturer safety standards. Work collaboratively with coaches, athletic trainers, operations staff, and vendors to meet team equipment needs. Monitor equipment condition and recommend replacement schedules. Coordinate branding and logo standards on apparel and equipment. Assist with equipment setup and breakdown for practices, competitions, and special events. Supervise and train student managers, interns, or part-time staff as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure equipment room environment. Perform other duties as assigned by athletic administration. What Qualifies You to Apply? Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in athletic equipment operations, preferably within collegiate athletics or Olympic sports. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple sport programs simultaneously. Knowledge of athletic equipment maintenance and inventory systems. Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required. Valid driver's license. Preferred: Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) certification or ability to obtain certification. Experience working in NCAA Division I athletics. Familiarity with Nike GameDay ordering system. Experience supervising student employees. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced athletic environment. Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to establish positive working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and staff. Commitment to professionalism, customer service, and student-athlete support.
