Perform accurate diagnostics and complete mechanical and cosmetic repairs on all vehicle systems
Inspect vehicles to meet CarMax Quality Standards and complete state inspections when required
Manage repair orders, ensuring accuracy in labor, parts, and billing documentation
Utilize proprietary and universal software systems
Maintain a clean, organized workspace following CarMax 5S standards and safety protocols
Provide leadership and functional expertise to support associates and managers across the store
Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Required Qualifications
Completion of CarMax New Associate Orientation and Kronos Training for Hourly Associates
Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately for record-keeping
Strong multitasking skills to perform duties in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills, including active listening and telephone etiquette
Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2)
