The Operations Communications Specialist coordinates the internal communications for the organization; designs, writes , edits, proofreads and revises communication content as necessary ; ensures consistent design of communications and compliance with Company policies, procedures, standards and goals.
Responsibilities
Designs, writes, edits and delivers planned, recurring and non-recurring communications as elements of the overall communication strategy and communicates to multiple, diverse audiences at all levels of the organizations
Consults with internal departments about timing, format and content of communications to employees that will enhance employee trust in Company leadership and confidence in the Company as a whole
D etermines and develops the best method of communicating message s and uses creative ability to assist M anagers with developing content of messages consistent with the corporate communicati on philosophy
Uses developed expertise and makes recommendations to Manager regarding the development and implementation of a communication protocol consistent with best practices within the communications discipline
Monitors feedback portals and handles general communication questions, concerns or requests for assistance in drafting communications
Uses creative ability to create and publish corporate communications; ensures communications are written in a manner that ensures all employees understand
Assists in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of new Company-wide portals of communication
Assists in the collection and compilation of Company-wide information collection efforts, e. g . , employee surveys
Investigates perceived abuses to established communication protocols and report s findings to M anager
Develops and presents programs aimed at improving communication skills and communication effectiveness
Attends programs, seminars and workshops relevant to the discipline of communications
Monitors and maintains corporate TeamView and department TeamView sites for content and updates accordingly
Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management
Edu cation Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations , English or other related discipline
Experience Requirements:
Previous experience with public relations or communications design and development preferred
Skill Requirements:
Demonstrated e xpertise with Word, Excel and other MS Office suite applications
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with people having diverse requirements
Well organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
G ood understanding of intra-depar tment functions and operations
Ability to perform repeated bending, standing and reaching
Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
