Lead and contribute to site and landscape design from early concepts through construction
Prepare presentation materials, permit packages, construction documents, and construction support for land development, building, and transportation projects
Develop designs using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation , with opportunities to influence both concept and execution
Conduct site investigations, inventories, and analysis that inform clear, defensible design decisions
Design sustainable, resilient landscapes, including on‑structure podium and urban environments, that enhance the outdoor user experience
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and feasibility studies
Collaborate closely with project managers to align design intent with scope, schedule, and budget
Participate in client meetings and presentations , contributing to strong relationships and project success
Support project delivery by coordinating across disciplines and agencies
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously raise design quality
Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program
Licensed Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) (Maryland preferred)
7+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture, land development, or a related field
Strong foundation in site planning, site analysis, and urban design principles
Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite . (Experience with Enscape and Land F/X is a plus)
Working knowledge of Maryland permitting processes (Baltimore City experience is a plus)
Familiarity with the Maryland Forest Conservation Act and native/adaptive plant materials in the Northeastern region
Clear communicator with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Field & Site Work
This role includes regular opportunities for fieldwork and site visits , which may involve extended periods outdoors (up to 8 hours), uneven terrain, and varying weather conditions-balanced with office‑based design and coordination work.

Compensation Range:
$101,460.24 - $114,142.77
