Conduct inspections, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment, including motors, transformers, and control systems.
Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Installation and Upgrades:
Lead the installation of new electrical systems and machinery, adhering to all relevant codes and standards.
Plan and execute electrical upgrades to enhance facility efficiency and productivity.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
Implement and uphold safety protocols to safeguard personnel and equipment.
Project Management:
Manage electrical projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other departments.
Supervise and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain precise records of all electrical work performed, including repairs, maintenance, and installations.
Prepare reports on electrical system performance and suggest improvements.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering and production teams to support manufacturing processes and resolve electrical issues.
Provide technical guidance and support to plant staff - locally and across the network - as needed.
Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High school diploma or equivalent
Journeyman Electrician license with a Master Electrician certification.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably in plastics manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems is a plus.
Ability to travel 10% to 20%.
