The role is responsible for working with teams in the business areas that work with us and collecting and documenting detailed business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and collaborating closely with technical and business teams to design and implement effective Workday solutions that meet those requirements. Being able to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders is key to support platform adoption and deliver on the technology roadmap. This position involves interaction at all levels within the organization, from business end users to high level management, meaning exceptional communication skills are a must for this role. Given the specialist nature of the applications, the stakeholders and subject matter expertise required, this role also requires a candidate who is comfortable working in high pressure environments. Requirements, Design, and Implementation - Workday
Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for Workday enhancements across HR, Finance, Procurement, and Projects.
Conduct interviews and analysis sessions to understand current business processes and future needs.
Translate documented requirements and described business rules/processes into clear actionable functional specifications documents and configure Workday modules to meet those specifications, ensuring traceability from requirements to deliverables
Collaborate with technical teams on solution design, configuration, and integration development.
Act as the functional subject matter expert (SME) during the design, development, and implementation phases of new Workday capabilities.
Support the teams that perform design, configuration, and maintenance for Workday modules.
Help identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating the Workday application with external systems.
Facilitate complex issue discussion meetings and resolve ambiguity.
Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and recommending mitigating strategies.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Legal, and Information Security teams to validate solutions from an architecture, data privacy, legal contract, and cybersecurity perspective.
Provide leadership in process improvement initiatives and enhance system and support documentation.
Leverage AI capabilities to support future business initiatives.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Make recommendations on process improvements and system enhancements to optimize performance and efficiency
Lead and drive change management activities for Workday solutions implemented via this process
Testing, Quality Assurance, and Support
Develop detailed test scripts and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Manage and prioritize defects and enhancements identified during testing.
Develop and execute comprehensive change management plans for new solutions to ensure successful end-user adoption.
Create training materials and support documentation for end-users and administrators.
Act as an ambassador to promote and educate the enterprise on the new Workday functionality.
