Your Team & Role As a Data Security Specialist, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and tech leads to strengthen our organization's data security posture. You will be responsible for analyzing data security alerts. In addition to expertise and experience in data security, you will bring excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. You will demonstrate strong business acumen and maintain a continuous learning mindset in all aspects of your work. Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day Review and triage information security alerts to determine potential risk to the organization. Conduct analysis of user activity, system events, and security telemetry to assess whether activity is concerning or poses risk to the company. Correlate alerts across multiple security tools and data sources to validate findings. Document analysis results and maintain clear records and outcomes. Escalate confirmed or high-risk findings to appropriate security or incident response teams. Collaborate with security engineering and business stakeholders to gather additional context during analysis. Track analysis outcomes and support remediation or follow-up actions when needed. Identify patterns or recurring alert types that may indicate control gaps or emerging risks. Assist in refining triage procedures, playbooks, and alert handling processes. Contribute to reporting and metrics related to alert volume, triage outcomes, and incident trends. Stay informed on emerging threats and tactics that may impact the organization. The Skills & Expertise You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Working knowledge of cloud and on-premise data security controls. Experience conducting analysis of events/triggers and correlating disparate data to understand the scope of a potential data security concern. Basic understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance concepts. Familiarity with tools such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), or Data Security Posture Management (DSPM). Ability to quickly learn new technologies and security concepts. What we offer you: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $96,200.00 to $158,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level .
