HPE Aruba is looking for an individual who is creative and self-motivated to fill the post of R&D Hardware Verification Engineer, holding responsibilities for the test and development of network connectivity devices used in our state-of-the-art network switches.
Responsibilities
- Validate next generation high-speed ethernet switching systems.
- Ensure performance of ethernet physical layer devices (Optical Transceivers, Direct Attach Cables, Active Optical Cables, etc.) with Aruba switches.
- Develop test methodology and execute verification testing to qualify ethernet physical layer devices with Aruba switches.
- Innovatively solve issues, drive completion of the project to schedule, and collaboratively network with other technical contributors.
- Collaborates and communicates with management and internal partners regarding design status, project progress and issue resolution.
- Education and Experience
- Must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in the environment of system testing is required.
- Proven track record in system test, test infrastructure characterization, automation or relevant engineering experience and background.
- Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with design verification and system level stress test of complex electronic systems.
- Possess good knowledge and technical understanding of hardware design.
- Knowledge of high-speed ethernet protocols (e.g. XAUI, XFI, 25GAUI, XLAUI and CAUI-4), encoding (e.g. NRZ and PAM4) and optical/copper transceivers technologies is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to work in team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Familiar with programming languages such as Python and tools like itest, GitHub and Jenkins are a plus.
