The 244-bed, all private room HSHS St. Mary's Hospital facility was founded in 1878 by three Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. Today, it combines modern technology with the founding spirit of the hospital. Situated on an attractive 21-acre campus, it overlooks Lake Decatur and offers a broad spectrum of comprehensive health services. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL, where he also fulfilled his anesthesia residency.
