CENTRAL TITLE DIVISION Job Description: The Agency Sales Representative role is an outstanding growth opportunity for a committed title insurance sales professional. In this position you will assume some existing accounts but spend most of your time building new agency relationships. You will focus on business development by identifying new agents and supporting existing agents. The selected person will travel to existing and potential agents to develop relationships at agent offices, networking events, association gatherings and other creative modes of engagement. Territory : Michigan This is a travel position based in Michigan and includes regular auto travel to agency locations throughout the state. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Cultivate a new customer base of agents through marketing activities. Develop strategies to retain existing agents, increase their business and/or our market share. Enhance the market presence of Old Republic Title. Respond to agent service issues in a responsive and timely manner. Work closely with our management team to achieve acceptable levels of profitability and market share. Participate actively in the state land title association and stay current with all title insurance issues affecting state operations. Stay current on information related to services and products offered by the Company and by its competitors. At a minimum, the ability to work from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Consistent attendance is required, that could include attendance at after-hour Company events. Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, customers, and vendors. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and agents by email, phone and in person. Must be personable, positive, and a professional representative of the Company. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge of the title insurance business with experience in all facets of a title operation is desired. Must have good analytical, interpersonal, communication, decision-making and leadership skills. Business entertainment during and after business hours is expected. Position involves some business travel. Valid driver's license, sufficient insurance coverage and a satisfactory driving record is necessary. . People who have been convicted of felonies involving breach of trust, theft or dishonesty are disqualified from being considered for this position. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to work with confidential information. Ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday. Repetitive and continual typing motion is required.
