How You Will Make a Difference - Complete biopsychosocial assessments, suicide and violence risk screens (e.g., C‑SSRS), and ASAM when indicated. - Obtain collateral, verify benefits, and coordinate bed placement with nursing/medical leadership. - Consult with the on‑call psychiatrist/NP; formulate provisional diagnoses and recommendations. - Document clearly in the EMR and communicate decisions to patients, families, and referral sources. - Coordinate with rounding providers and daytime interdisciplinary teams to keep care plans moving. - Support safe discharges and smooth handoffs to evening/night teams.
